Kany was the first monster that Nightmare ever made. When Nightmare was a child living on Dark Night Star, he loved harassing animals, but they would always run away, so he used his powers to create Kany, a harmless creature that he granted the ability of regeneration so he could torture it forever, Kany couldn't stand the abuse and fled, before leaving, Kany saved the egg of a creature who would come to be known as Crabby from Nightmare's lab, for this act of kindness Pholtron granted Kany his own Warp Star (which is light pink) which he used to escape from Dark Night Star, he landed on Popstar, and he and Crabby now live in the Rainbow Coral Reef.
